Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal are available for the Champions Trophy next year, confirmed by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
Both players have missed a significant amount of time from the national squad.
Shakib remains qualified to play as a batsman; he has lately been banned from bowling for unlawful bowling action.
Tamim, meantime, has avoided international cricket since his vocal criticism of Nazmul Hassan Papon, the former BCB chief.
Details about Champions Trophy 2025
As the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed on Thursday, the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 will be held hosted across host sites in Pakistan and a neutral site.
Other important ICC events including the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 (to be hosted by India) and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 (jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka) will also apply using the “fusion formula”.
The highly awaited clash between Pakistan and India is scheduled for February 23 at a neutral venue. Indian matches including those with Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh are expected to be played in Dubai.

Before the tournament begins, a six-day support period will be held from February 12 to 18. This period will include team arrivals, practice sessions, and other preparations.
