Pakistan’s first and only gold Olympic medalist, Arshad Nadeem met the country’s cricket legend Wasim Akram.
Arshad shared the video of the two legends on his Instagram account where he said that he was honoured to meet Akram.
“Humbled to meet the legend himself, @wasimakramliveofficial in Lahore! What an honor to share some moments with the Sultan of Swing. His passion for sports and dedication to Pakistan is truly inspiring!”, he said in a caption.
Some days back, Arshad met President NDU, Lt Gen Asif Ghafoor. He shared the picture on his account.
He thanked the general, saying, “As he prepares to retire soon, I’d like to wish him the very best for his future endeavors. His dedication and service to the nation will always be remembered. Sir, you will be deeply missed, but your legacy will live on. Thank you for your service and inspiration.”

Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem has won his country’s first Olympic medal since 1992 after an Olympic record throw of 92.97 meters.
He has received many prize money from the government and private sector along with a car featuring the registration number PAK 92.97. He was also honoured at an official reception with Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif.
Some observers have called his achievement – Pakistan’s first individual Olympic gold – the greatest sporting moment in the country’s 77-year history.
