WEB DESK: Shahid Afridi, a former Pakistan captain and current ambassador for the 2024 T20 World Cup, expressed strong belief in his team’s chances despite recent setbacks.
While Pakistan currently ranks sixth in the ICC T20I rankings and has faced losses to Ireland and England, Afridi believes the conditions in the West Indies and USA will favor their style of play.

He highlighted the team’s strong bowling attack and batting form, along with the importance of sharp fielding and supporting captain Babar Azam.
Afridi, who holds fond memories of the T20 World Cup with a Player of the Tournament performance in 2007 and a championship win in 2009, is confident Pakistan can reach the finals again. He also expressed excitement for the highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash on June 9th.
