By KARACHI: In a shocking turn of events, a son, aided by his mother and two friends, stands accused of murdering his father to gain access to his apartment and pension.
The body of 43-year-old Syed Shahid Ali was discovered several days after his death in a Sarjani Town apartment, reportedly beaten to death with a hammer, according to police statements.
The victim’s identity was confirmed as Syed Shahid Ali, son of Sardar Ali. Police were alerted to the crime scene after neighbors noticed a foul odor emanating from the flat.
During their investigation, authorities apprehended the deceased’s son, Bilal, along with his daughter-in-law Mahnoor and two of Bilal’s friends, Ahmar and Inam, all suspected of involvement in the murder.

Geo News reported that investigators recovered the victim’s mobile phone, the murder weapon, and the sheet used to wrap the body from the suspects.
Syed Shahid Ali had divorced his wife 14 years prior, and his son had been residing with his mother since then.
