Somon Air of Tajikistan launches direct flights to Pakistan

Somon Air of Tajikistan has announced the schedule for its flight operations from Pakistan, with the inaugural flight set to depart from Islamabad to Dushanbe on June 27.

In a conversation with Urdu News, Captain (retd) Saeed Khan, Director of Marketing at Shaheen Airport Services, confirmed that direct flights from Pakistan to Tajikistan will commence this week, starting with Islamabad.

He highlighted that Tajikistan, known for its natural beauty, has been a sought-after destination for Pakistani travelers for both tourism and business. This demand has prompted the launch of these direct flights.

Saeed Khan stated that Somon Air, renowned for its quality service, has set low ticket prices for this new route. A one-way ticket from Islamabad to Dushanbe is priced at $200, while a return ticket costs $300.

Furthermore, to facilitate travel, Tajikistan has simplified its visa process for Pakistani travelers, offering visa issuance within 24 hours.

The Islamabad International Airport Authority has confirmed the first Somon Air flight from Islamabad to Tajikistan on June 27. Civil Aviation Spokesperson Saifullah stated that all necessary arrangements have been made to accommodate Somon Air’s operations.
