The Sindh government has introduced an online auction for premium vehicle number plates to raise funds for flood victims. Excise Minister Sharjeel Memon announced on Wednesday that the auction will feature three categories: platinum, gold, and silver.
The Excise Department has set up a special online portal where participants can place bids within a specific time frame. Additionally, the platform will offer a reselling option for those interested in trading their number plates.

Memon also revealed that a major fundraising event is scheduled for October 12 in Karachi, where both premium and personalised number plates will be up for auction. All proceeds will support the construction of houses for families affected by recent floods.
In the same meeting, discussions were held regarding efforts to combat the ongoing drug issue in the province. Memon directed strict action against officials neglecting their duties in addressing drug trafficking.
To strengthen anti-narcotics operations, additional manpower and resources will be provided to the concerned authorities, with the goal of dismantling drug networks through coordinated efforts.
