KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has withdrawn the transfer order for Assistant Commissioner Hazim Bangwar who was removed from the post last month, it emerged on Wednesday.
In a notification issued by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah stated, “Notification, dated 28/10/2024, regarding the transfer of Hazim Ali, an Officer of PMS (BS-17), from Commissioner office Karachi and directing him to report to Services, General Administration & Coordination Department is canceled/withdrawn.”
Last month, Bangwar, known for his eccentric personality and vibrant fashion sense, was removed from the office of assistant commissioner and directed to report to the Sindh Services and General Administration Department.
Hazim serving at the Karachi Commissioner’s office as the Assistant Commissioner General when he attracted significant media attention following his appointment as the Assistant Commissioner in North Nazimabad in 2023.
While the official reason for his removal has not been disclosed, insiders suggest that it stems from a complaint related to his actions in addressing officials who were overstaying in their official residences.
He once again made headlines after the reports of his removal from the official post last month.
