Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has approved a budget of Rs232.1 million to re-conduct the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in Sukkur on Wednesday.

At a Sindh Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister shared his opinion that the damage that might be caused by the leaking of papers is critical and the consequences include both the reputational tarnish and the students’ futures being jeopardized as per 24NewsHD TV.

He added that one of the aspects of my ambition for a transparent society is that every exam, such as MDCAT, is going to be fair.

Cabinet was informed that the MDCAT has been conducted annually in Sindh from 2017-18, with the venues in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur, and Larkana. The matter has been submitted to the High Court due to the recent paper leak.

The rescheduled MDCAT is meant to be held in six weeks.
