Sheikh Waqas Akram condemned the violent attacks on peaceful protesters, stating that bullets were being fired at innocent citizens, leaving many injured.
He accused the Punjab and federal governments of inciting chaos, questioning whether they consider the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa less than Pakistani citizens.
Akram emphasised the presence of all ages in the protests, asserting that this is not the property of any individual in Rawalpindi or Islamabad. He criticized the government’s attempts to sow hatred and dismissed any notion that security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa resembles that of the Indian military.

Furthermore, he called for urgent attention to the rising prices and demanded the release of all detained activists. “If protesting against judicial and economic injustices is a crime, then the entire Pakistan should be imprisoned,” he stated, warning that failure to respond could lead to increased unrest.
Akram insisted that the government must prioritize the nation over self-interests and urged for all roads to be reopened immediately.
