Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has landed in Saudi Arabia to participate in the Arab-Islamic Summit.
Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, and other diplomatic staff welcomed PM Shehbaz at the Royal Airport terminal of Riyadh.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, he is set to address the summit and engage in discussions on critical regional issues.
During his stay there, it is expected that the prime minister will meet several heads of other countries there who will also be participating in the event.
Arab-Islamic Summit in Saudi Arabia
The summit which has been called by the Saudi government will address a number of important issues concerning the middle east including the situation in Gaza.
The event has attracted the attendance of the Heads of State and Prime Ministers of countries that belong to the Arab League and that of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) too.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi are accompanying the PM during the summit.
