By SINDH: A hearing at the Sindh High Court (SHC) took an unexpected turn when Justice Salahuddin Panhwar expressed disbelief over a grade 17 officer’s response about his BA degree in mathematics. The officer’s inability to spell “Math” during questioning elicited amusement from those present in the courtroom.
In addition, the session revolved around a petition challenging the cancellation of lease plots in Qureshi Cooperative Society. Muharram Ali Sand, the Registrar of the Society, was in attendance.
Meanwhile, the petitioners’ lawyer explained that Sand was responsible for canceling the lease of their plots, leading the affected property buyers to seek judicial intervention.

The lawyer also pointed out inconsistencies in the educational qualifications and positions of officials within the Cooperative Societies. Specifically, Registrar Cooperative Societies Zameer Abbasi, a grade 18 officer, was reported to be occupying a grade 19 position, a revelation that caught the court by surprise.
The case continues to unfold as the court examines the roles and qualifications of the officials involved.
