MUMBAI: Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has been discharged from an Ahmedabad hospital on Thursday, a day after being admitted due to a heat stroke, Indian media outlets report.

The renowned actor, known for his roles in films like “Don,” is scheduled to depart for Mumbai from the Ahmedabad airport via a charter plane.

Shah Rukh Khan , also a co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cricket team, was hospitalised at KD Hospital on May 22 after suffering from dehydration during the play-off match between KKR and SRH.

His wife, Gauri Khan, along with KKR co-owners Jay Mehta and Juhi Chawla, visited the hospital to check on his condition.

Earlier today, Juhi Chawla provided an update on Khan’s health, expressing optimism that he would be back in the stadium by Sunday.

“Shah Rukh was not feeling too well last night, but he is being attended to and was feeling much better this evening,” she said. “God willing, he will soon be up and in the stands on the weekend, cheering the team as we play the finals.”

Following Chawla’s update, Khan’s manager, Pooja Dadlani, reassured fans on Instagram, stating, “To all of Mr. Khan’s fans and well-wishers – he is doing well. Thank you for your love, prayers, and concern.”

In a recent development, Khan shared news about his upcoming film project “King,” after a successful streak with blockbusters like “Pathaan,” “Jawan,” and “Dunki” in 2023. Taking a break from filming, Khan is currently focused on supporting his KKR team during the ongoing IPL matches.

Hinting at his filming schedule, Khan mentioned, “Fortunately, my shooting is scheduled for August, or maybe July… we plan in June, so it will start from June.”
