RAWALPINDI: Six terrorists were killed and six others injured during a clash with security forces in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said a military statement on Sunday.

The statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, read that the operation took place on November 9 in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, which shares border with Afghanistan.

“During the operation, arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists,” the statement read.

The ISPR also stated that a sanitization operation was conducted in the area, and reaffirmed that security forces are determined to eliminate terrorism from the country.
