In a recent legal development in Rawalpindi, a man has found himself in significant legal trouble for concealing his first marriage.

The local court has ordered the police to register a case against him following a complaint filed by his second wife.

She has accused him of deceiving her by not disclosing his previous marital status before their marriage.

The court proceedings have become more complex with the involvement of the man’s first wife, who is also being presented in court.

According to Pakistani law, a man is required to obtain written permission from his first wife before entering into a second marriage. Failing to do so can result in legal penalties, emphasising the importance of transparency and consent in marital relationships.
