ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has ordered Capital Development Authority (CDA) to completely shut down restaurants established in the National Park within three months. During the hearing of the case related to Monal Restaurant, the Supreme Court expressed astonishment and said that the CDA is unaware of the number of restaurants operating in the National Park. The CDA’s lawyer informed the court that a report detailing all constructions, including restaurants in the park, has been submitted.

The Chief Justice remarked that the Arts Council and the National Monument are also included in the CDA’s report. He questioned whether the CDA is planning to demolish these buildings as well. The lawyer responded that he would need to check the map to answer the question.
