Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to Pakistan postponed

The eagerly anticipated visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan has encountered a delay of over a month.

According to reports, he is now expected to visit the country after Eid-ul-Adha in June. However, the final date and schedule are yet to be confirmed by officials.

Earlier, there were reports that the crown prince would be in Pakistan in the third week of May.

His last trip to Pakistan was in February 2019.

Pakistan is eyeing billions of dollars in investment from Gulf countries, particularly Saudi Arabia and the UAE. During Prime Minister Shehbaz’s visit to Saudi Arabia before Eid, Riyadh agreed to expedite the first phase of investment to the tune of $5 billion.
