Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 22,021 individuals for immigration-related offences during a series of raids conducted between August 29 and September 4.
The crackdown focused on violations of residency, border security, and labour laws. Among those arrested, 14,508 were detained for residency law violations, 4,511 for breaches of border security, and 3,002 for labour law infractions.
Approximately 998 individuals were caught attempting to cross the border illegally, with the majority being Yemeni and Ethiopian nationals. Additionally, eleven individuals were arrested for facilitating these illegal activities.

Currently, more than 15,000 expatriates are undergoing legal procedures, with many being referred to their embassies for assistance with travel documents or deportation.
