Islamabad’s administration has introduced new rules regarding vehicle registration and number plates.
According to details, vehicles with fancy or restricted number plates will now have their registrations canceled.
As per the notification issued by the Islamabad administration, vehicles with registration canceled due to fancy number plates will require a re-registration fee. A fine of 5,000 rupees will be imposed on vehicles up to 1,000 cc.

Similarly, a fee of 10,000 rupees will be required for the re-registration of vehicles up to 2,000 cc, while owners of vehicles exceeding 2,000 cc will need to pay a fine of 20,000 rupees.
Motorcycle owners will have to pay a fee of 1,000 rupees for re-registration. In cases of repeated violations, despite the fine, the fee will be increased to five times the original amount.
