RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Maj-Gen Ahmed Sharif on tuesday said said that recent attacks in country are linked to Afghanistan.
The Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the scheme behind the attack, which resulted in the deaths of five Chinese engineers in a convoy assault in Bisham tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shangla on March 26, originated in Afghanistan.
He elaborated that the choice to deport foreign nationals residing unlawfully in Pakistan was taken with the nation’s welfare in mind. He emphasized that millions of Afghan citizens continue to reside in Pakistan.
May 9 violence
The head of the military’s public relations department emphasized that the violent occurrences on May 9 were not solely an assault on the Pakistan Army but on the entire populace. To uphold justice, those responsible for these incidents must be held accountable. During a press briefing, ISPR Director General Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry highlighted that both civilians and the armed forces witnessed the events of May 9 firsthand. He noted, “The manipulation of people through deceptive propaganda was evident to all.”
