Raveena Tandon mob attack: police confirms no one was hurt

BANDRA: In an incident involving actress Raveena Tandon’s car, no injuries were reported, according to the police. Authorities confirmed that a complaint filed against the actress was false and accompanied by fabricated videos.

The incident took place when  driver of Raveena Tandon was reversing the car inside their residential society in Khar. As he was doing so, a family of four walking on the road intervened, advising the driver to check behind before reversing. The situation escalated into a heated argument.

A senior Mumbai Police official told Mid-Day, “The complainant provided a false complaint and misleading video. After reviewing the entire CCTV footage, it was clear that the actress’s driver was reversing the car from the road into the society when the family was crossing the same lane. The family stopped the car, insisting the driver should ensure the path was clear before reversing.”

The argument soon intensified, and Raveena Tandon arrived at the scene to understand the commotion and defend her driver. However, the situation worsened as the family reportedly began to abuse her.

Both parties subsequently went to the Khar police station to file written complaints. Eventually, they decided not to pursue formal complaints, submitting letters to this effect.

The police official emphasised, “No one was injured in the incident. Our review of the CCTV footage confirmed that the car did not hit anyone.”
