Rami rituals suspended due to heat: Pilgrims advised to stay in tents in Mina

WEB DESK: The Saudi government has announced the suspension of stoning rituals until 4 PM during the final stage of Hajj, advising pilgrims to stay in their tents in Mina due to extreme heat.

A government spokesperson emphasized that the safety of pilgrims was prioritized in this decision.

Meanwhile, a representative from Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs expressed concern over some media reports exaggerating complaints about the arrangements, causing unease among Pakistani pilgrims and their families.

The spokesperson assured the pilgrims that the ministry is in constant contact with Saudi authorities to ensure their well-being.

This year, over 2.5 million Muslims, including 160,000 Pakistanis, have gathered in Makkah for Hajj. In response to the raised issues, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, called an emergency meeting with ministry officials at the Pakistan Hajj Mission in Makkah.
