Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa holds the distinction of being the first person from Pakistan to be elected as a bencher in the Middle Temple.
Qazi Faiz Isa left for abroad to participate in the ceremony held in his honor at Middle Temple, the foremost legal school in Britain.
He was invited to attend the function in May this year. Qazi Faiz Isa studied law at the same great legal school and his father Qazi Isa was also a graduate of Middle Temple.
Qazi Faiz Isa had written to the management of the Middle Temple that he could attend only after his retirement on October 25, on which the date of the function in his honor was fixed on October 29.
The Middle Temple is one of the four historic and prestigious legal institutions of London known as the Inns of Court. In these institutions, law students are trained and licensed for admission to the bar.
