Punjab University (PU) has suspended three employees and initiated legal proceedings after an investigation by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Lahore revealed their involvement in leaking LLB examination papers.
The suspended staff members include Key Punch Operator Athar, Naib Qasid Mohsin, and Junior Clerk Usman, who allegedly sold the exam papers to students for financial gain.
According to university officials, one employee sold a paper for Rs 35,000, another for Rs 6,000, while the second exam paper was sold for Rs 100,000.

PU takes swift action
The annual LLB examinations, which commenced on August 23, 2024, for parts I through V, were disrupted by the scandal. Punjab University responded by suspending the accused employees and nullifying the exam results of four students who bought the leaked papers. Unfair Means Cases (UMC) have also been filed against the students involved.
