Punjab to give female teachers two weekly holidays for ‘household responsibilities’

Punjab’s Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, considering the difficulties faced by female teachers, has announced two holidays a week and changed their dismissal times.

In a statement, the Punjab Education Minister said that after the summer vacation, female teachers in government schools will have two holidays a week, and their dismissal times will also be changed.

Moreover, according to the Education Minister, after the summer vacation, female teachers in government schools will be dismissed at 2:30 PM instead of 3:00 PM.

Additionally, they will also have Saturdays off. This decision has been made considering the difficulties faced by female teachers.

He further said that the dismissal time for female teachers has been changed because they have to manage household responsibilities. Therefore, a notification in this regard will be issued soon.
