The Punjab Human Capital Investment Project announced on Wednesday plans to distribute 3,718 tablets to primary school teachers across 11 districts in Punjab province.
A notification has been issued by the Programme Monitoring and Implementation Unit to facilitate the receipt of these devices.
As per media reports, the tablets will be allocated to Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers, who will use them to record student attendance online, streamlining administrative processes and enhancing data accuracy. “This initiative aims to bolster the monitoring systems within schools across the designated districts,” the notification stated.

The reports indicate that the integration of tablets is expected to modernise classroom management and improve oversight within the education sector. By leveraging technology, the project seeks to elevate the standard of education and facilitate better communication between teachers and administrative bodies in Punjab.
