Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore has announced the closure of driving license offices across Punjab due to the upgradation of the license system.
CTO Lahore, Amara Athara, stated that all license offices will remain closed from May 23 to May 27 as the authorities plan to upgrade the driving license system in the province.
According to her, the driving license system will be temporarily suspended from 5 pm on May 23 to 3 pm on May 27. During this period, services including learner permits, renewals, new licenses, and international licenses will not be available.
In light of the temporary closure of license offices until May 27 at 3 pm, citizens have been advised to their visits accordingly. Those with e-licenses need not worry, as they will remain valid during this period.
Furthermore, the CTO clarified that no challan tickets will be issued to e-license holders during the system upgrade.

In a separate development, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated four driving schools for women. It includes Abshar Driving School on Jail Road, Women on Wheels School on Ferozepur Road, Liberty Service Center Driving School, and Manawan Traffic Lines Driving School.
The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore stated that classes at these driving schools run from 8 am to 4 pm. Moreover, the driving schools provide a women-to-women service, where female instructors teach and assist women learners throughout their driving journey.
