Punjab issues first-ever live-stock card

WEB DESK: For the first time in the country’s history, a Livestock Card and the first Farmer Guidance App have been launched in Punjab.

Moreover, a special meeting on livestock was held under the chairmanship of Punjab’s Chief Minister and President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Nawaz Sharif. In this meeting, the Punjab Livestock Card project was approved.

Furthermore, an interest-free loan of up to 250,000 rupees will be provided for livestock feed. Instructions have been given to make it easier for livestock farmers to obtain loans. Maryam Nawaz has also directed the preparation of a major scheme for dairy farming.

In addition, the Chief Minister of Punjab stated that the provincial government is working to ensure economic self-sufficiency for livestock farmers.

A total of 40,000 dairy farmers across the province will be given the Punjab Livestock Card, through which they will be able to obtain loans.

This scheme will make 400,000 animals available for export. Dairy farmers will be provided with free animal tagging and other facilities.
