Furthermore, mobile and internet services will be halted in Alipur Chattha, Zafarwal, and Bhakkar, with similar measures planned for Sadiqabad and Dera Ghazi Khan.
The Home Department has distributed copies of the letter requesting the suspension of services to the Punjab Chief Secretary, the Inspector General of Police, and the Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for necessary action.
In addition to the Ministry of Interior, the department has also sent copies of the letter to the Commissioner, the Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), and other relevant officials to coordinate and execute the suspension effectively.
Polling for the by-elections in 21 constituencies is scheduled to take place on April 21. The Election Commission announced that campaigning for the by-polls ended at midnight on Friday.
