On Tuesday, the Punjab government announced the establishment of five new tehsils and a revision of the revenue circles (Qanungos) for the existing tehsils.
According to a notification from the Board of Revenue (Punjab), the newly formed Allama Iqbal Tehsil will include the revenue circles of Chuhng and Niaz Beg, while Nishtar Tehsil will cover Pandoki, Kahna, and Kamahan circles.
Saddar Tehsil will incorporate Barki, Heir, and Jahman circles, and Wagah Tehsil will consist of Jallo, Bhaseen, and Lakhudair circles. Ravi Tehsil has been created with Shahdara and Naulakha circles.

In addition to the creation of these new tehsils, adjustments have been made to the boundaries of the existing tehsils.
