The Punjab government has approved a comprehensive financial package for the families of police martyrs.
Chaired by the Punjab Law Minister, the Home Department meeting finalised grants, housing, and transport allowances for the families of police personnel who lost their lives combating terrorism.
The package is divided into three categories. Under Package One, the family of a martyred will receive Rs20.1 million, a house worth Rs17 million, and a transport allowance of Rs35,000.
Additionally, Package Two offers up to Rs5 million and housing worth Rs17 million, while Package Three provides Rs. 4 million and a transport allowance of Rs37,500.
Furthermore, the announcement coincides with National Police Martyrs’ Day, where Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the fallen officers, highlighting their courage and sacrifice in the fight against terrorism.
