In a move aimed at stabilizing the market and ensuring affordability for the public, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed the issuance of new flour and wheat prices across the province.

The Food Department has announced updated rates, detailing the cost of a 10 kg flour bag in various cities.

In major cities like Lahore and Rawalpindi, a 10 kg flour bag will now cost Rs 900. In Attock and Jhelum, the price is set slightly lower at Rs 890, while in Chakwal, Sheikhupura, and Kasur, it will be Rs 870.

The rates vary across the province, reflecting regional supply and demand dynamics. For instance, in Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Wazirabad, Hafizabad, and Gujranwala, a 10 kg bag is priced at Rs 820. The same rate applies in Sialkot, Narowal, Chiniot, and Nankana.

In central Punjab cities like Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Sargodha, Multan, and Lodhran, the cost is fixed at Rs 800 for a 10 kg bag. Similarly, in Sahiwal, Pakpattan, and Bahawalpur, the price is also Rs 800. The rate drops to Rs 790 in Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan.

Further south, in Layyah, DG Khan, Khanewal, Vehari, and Bhakkar, the price is Rs 780, and it remains the same in Mianwali, Khushab, and Jhang. Finally, in Muzaffargarh, the rate for a 10 kg flour bag is set at Rs 770, and in Rajanpur, it is Rs 760.
