National hero Arshad Nadeem secured a gold medal in javelin throw at the Paris Olympics, marking Pakistan’s first Olympic gold in 40 years, leading to a shower of rewards for him.
However, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stated that the public treasury is not for giving rewards.
On Tuesday, Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem was also bestowed with significant rewards by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz.

On the other hand, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, during a media talk in Peshawar, said that the public treasury is not meant for giving rewards.
In addition, regarding the question of rewarding gold medalist Arshad Nadeem, Ali Amin stated, ‘The public treasury is not our father’s money.’
Continuing his point, he said, ‘I will not give a reward to Arshad Nadeem from the public treasury; I will give a reward to the Olympic gold medalist in a personal capacity.’
