Gold prices in Pakistan on Tuesday increased by Rs1,600 per tola, to reach Rs285,000.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grammes of gold rose to Rs244,342.
On the other hand, silver prices remained stable at Rs3,350 per tola.
This increase comes after a minor decline on Monday, when the price of gold dropped by Rs900, settling at Rs283,400 per tola.
The recent rise in gold prices aligns with a global trend due rising demand for safe assets amid conflicts in the Middle East and uncertainty surrounding the upcoming US elections.
As a result, gold has been reaching new record levels in recent weeks.
