The Excise and Taxation Department of Sindh recently held an auction for premium vehicle number plates. The coveted A1 number plate was sold for 10 crore rupees to businessman Muzamal Kareem, who placed the highest bid.

During the event, the number plate 7 fetched forty-six million rupees, also acquired by Muzamal Kareem. Mukesh Chawla awarded him the certificate of ownership.

Another highlight of the auction was the premium number plate 786, which was bought by businessman Sorosh for 26.5 million rupees. Sindh Energy Minister Nasir Shah handed over the ownership certificate to Sorosh.

Senior Minister Sindh Sharjeel Memon, who presented the certificate for the A1 number plate to Muzamal Kareem, remarked that premium number plates are a form of investment akin to gold.

The proceeds from this auction will support flood victims, providing them with much-needed aid. Memon stated that these funds are not being wasted but are directed towards helping the underprivileged.
