ISLAMABAD: During today’s proceedings at the Supreme Court regarding petitions against NAB amendments, a significant incident unfolded as a picture of Prime Minister Imran Khan, appearing via video link from Adiala Jail, was captured inside the courtroom, subsequently going viral on social media platforms.

Prompted by the development, the SC administration swiftly launched an investigation to determine the identity of the individual responsible for taking the photograph. Police sources disclosed that efforts are underway to identify the culprit by scrutinising the CCTV footage from the courtroom.

While official progress on the viral image remains pending, Miyan Aqeel Afzal, President of the SC Press Association, has made a noteworthy assertion regarding the matter. Taking to social media, Afzal stated, “The one who took Imran Khan’s picture has finally been identified.”

According to him, the commotion ensued during the court proceedings when the image was captured, initially casting suspicion on journalists present. However, it was later clarified that the individual behind the lens was a new lawyer, serving in the capacity of a law clerk, and the son of a legal practitioner. Subsequently, the issue was addressed through complaints, with tensions defusing once the identity of the photographer was ascertained.
