Federal Minister, Engineer Amir Muqam, slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for failing to resolve public issues despite leading three consecutive governments.

He criticised PTI’s protest rallies and lawlessness, calling them acts of treason against the state.

Addressing party workers in Swat, Muqam highlighted how unnecessary political experiments had destroyed the healthcare and education sectors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

He accused PTI of misusing taxpayer money for protests and political stunts instead of focusing on improving governance and public welfare, which has worsened the plight of the common man.

Moreover, Muqam urged the KP Chief Minister to address the deteriorating law and order situation in southern districts, where public safety has become a major concern. Instead of focusing on governance, he said, KP has been plagued by corruption and poor administration, with ministers and advisors hurling accusations of corruption at each other, further exposing the provincial government’s failure to deliver on its promises.

The minister also condemned PTI’s use of provincial resources for rallies in Lahore, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi, calling it an abuse of public funds. He criticised the KP government for pursuing a foreign agenda through these protests and reminded them that negotiations with Afghanistan are a federal mandate, not a provincial one.

Maqam highlighted that the government has a zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism, ensuring that Swat’s peace will not be disturbed again. He praised the sacrifices made by the people of Swat and security forces in restoring peace to the valley.

The minister also challenged the KP government to compete with Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in terms of good governance and public service, rather than misleading PTI workers with hollow slogans.

Maqam concluded by condemning the deteriorating road infrastructure in Swat under PTI’s rule, which has hindered tourism, trade, and development in the region.
