Zartaj Gul, a parliamentary leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former federal minister, has been taken into custody from her residence in Dera Ghazi Khan.
According to Advocate Mehr Fida Hussain, Gul was asleep at her home when over 100 police officers and individuals in civilian clothes forcefully arrested her. She was taken away without shoes or a scarf, the advocate added.

During the arrest, advocate Fida Hussain also stated that the mobile phones of the individuals recording the video during the arrest were confiscated.
