WEBDESK: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly staged a walkout on Wednesday during a session chaired by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.
The protest began when PTI member Yusuf Khan pointed out the lack of quorum, prompting the Speaker to count the members present.
PTI members expressed frustration over not being allowed to speak on points of order. During the question hour, they chanted slogans, saying they were not being given a chance to raise their issues.
Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar criticised the protest, calling it inappropriate and urging the Speaker to intervene. He accused the PTI members of disrupting the session and focusing on photography and videography instead of contributing to the discussion.
As tensions rose, PTI members walked out of the session in protest, affecting the proceedings of the National Assembly.
