The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally scheduled for August 27 in Lahore is also likely to be postponed.

Additionally, PTI has announced its intention to file a contempt of court petition against the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore.

Following the Islamabad rally, the Lahore rally of PTI is also expected to be postponed. PTI had announced a rally in Lahore on August 27, but so far, the administration has not granted official permission for the event.

PTI has submitted the fifth application to the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore, with Akmal Khan Bari, Senior Vice President of PTI Central Punjab, submitting the request.

Moreover, Akmal Khan has alleged that despite the Lahore High Court’s orders, the Deputy Commissioner is not informing them about the venue for the rally. A copy of the court order has also been submitted to the Deputy Commissioner.

PTI has postponed the rally citing “government disruption” as the reason and has announced a new date.

In addition, PTI leader Khurram Khosa stated that they have not postponed the rally, but the administration has not yet allocated a venue for it.
