The core committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were unaware of the decision to cancel the rally.
According to party sources, members of the core committee expressed concerns over the decision to cancel the rally, while the members of the political committee also expressed unease regarding the announcement and the decision to cancel the event.
Moreover, opposition sources revealed that there was no consultation with the parties of the opposition alliance, Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP), and that the leadership and parties of TTAP were prepared to participate in the rally. However, the decision to cancel the rally was made without informing the opposition alliance parties.

PTI’s rally scheduled to be held in Islamabad has been postponed, and permission for the rally has now been granted for September 8.
According to opposition sources, the leadership and parties of the opposition alliance were informed about the rally’s cancellation through the media, and as a result, MWM Chief Allama Nasir Abbas could not leave the country.
Sources further mentioned that the parties of Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan have decided to adopt a stern stance against PTI over the rally’s cancellation.
