Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has voiced his ambition to transform Pakistan into a “progressive mini China” by adopting China’s development model and enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.

During a meeting with a high-level Chinese delegation in Islamabad, PM Shehbaz welcomed the guests warmly. “It is a pleasure to welcome you to Pakistan. China and Pakistan are bound in an eternal bond of friendship,” he stated.

Expressing optimism about the visit, the Prime Minister said, “I am sure that your visit will be very useful, and it will promote investment, cooperation in industry, agriculture, and special economic zones in both countries.”

He highlighted the mutual benefits of transferring Chinese industry to Pakistan through joint projects. Additionally, PM Shehbaz expressed sorrow over a recent incident in Bisham where five Chinese nationals were killed. He assured the delegation that effective measures have been implemented to ensure the security of Chinese citizens in Pakistan.
