Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Abdul Qadir Patel stated on Tuesday that governing the country should be the responsibility of politicians, not athletes, referencing former prime minister Imran Khan.

Qadir Patel added that the opposition leader spoke for only 33 seconds on the presidential address.

He mentioned that President Asif Zardari’s tongue was cut and that he spent 14 years in jail. Patel also highlighted that Asif Zardari’s wife was martyred but he raised the slogan of “Pakistan Khappe.”

Furthermore, Patel noted that Zardari advocated for negotiations between political parties.
