Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz has turned 51 and will celebrate her birthday today (Monday).
According to reports, Maryam will travel to London next month, joining her father and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif.
PML-N is keeping Sharif’s visit a low profile one, and has not officially provided details regarding the nature of his visit.
He returned to the country in October last year after spending four years in the UK, in self-imposed exile.

Earlier this year, CM Maryam successfully elected as the first female chief minister of Punjab.
Maryam is the fourth person in her family to become Punjab CM after her father Nawaz Sharif, uncle Shehbaz Sharif and cousin Hamza Shehbaz who held this post for few months last year.
In 2023, Maryam became the senior vice president of PML-N party which made her among the top leaders of her party.
She contested in the Feb 8 general elections for National Assembly seat, in NA-119 Lahore-III and Provincial Assembly of Punjab, PP-159 Lahore-XV.
This was her first time contesting the general elections. Notably, she managed to capture both NA and PA seats and got her party nomination for Punjab CM candidacy.
