The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government’s plan to launch an air ambulance service to aid residents in remote areas is facing delays due to a fund disbursement issue.
Despite a four-month deadline set by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in April, the provincial finance department has yet to release the necessary funds.
Moreover, Khursheed Khan, the Focal Person for the Air Ambulance Committee, stated that the finance department was urged to release the funds as donors awaited the project’s launch.

In addition, adviser on Finance Muzammil Aslam assured that funds would be released once the health department submits its summary.
The air ambulance service is part of a broader initiative to improve healthcare in KP, including motorbike response units, hospital upgrades, and other health projects.
