WEB DESK: Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar dismissed the PTI founder Imran Khan’s civil disobedience call on Sunday as a failed effort.

Tarar stated that the people of Pakistan have rejected the politics of hatred, division, and violence, predicting a bleak future for PTI.

In his address through Bihar Colony, Tarar conveyed his good wishes for Christmas to the Christian brethren and assured them that he was committed to ensuring peace and oneness. The minister reiterated that he has a firm connection with his constituency, in which approximately 70,000 Christians reside, promising total unrelenting support for the rights of the Christians in Pakistan.

“It is our responsibility to take care and defend the rights of all the minorities and give them a safe secure environment without hatred and physical or mental torture,” he said.

Tarar remembered visiting the USA, UK, and the Middle East and said he introduced himself as a representative of the diverse people of his constituency. He stressed the need for unity and collective effort to take Pakistan further and said that Pakistan was a gift from Almighty Allah.

Tarar paid tribute to great Christian figures and mentioned Haroon William, who made sacrifices; Sesal Chaudhary, and Mervyn Middlecoat for their contributions to promoting the face of Pakistan worldwide. “We will have to serve Pakistan sincerely and give the brave armed forces support and reject the politics of hatred and division,” he added.
