PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Barrister Saif said on Sunday that Imran Khan will stay in Pakistan after his release from jail.

In a statement, he rebutted reports of a possible deal with the establishment, saying that PTI founding chairman Imran Khan will not make any deal.

“Imran Khan will be honourably discharged and continue to live among his own people. Deals are made by those who leave the country and settle outside in their luxurious palaces,” Barrister Saif said.

Justifying his argument, he said that Imran Khan does not own luxurious palaces or have looted money to flee abroad. “History shows that leaders like Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, and Asif Zardari left the country after making deals,” Barrister Saif said.

He went on to say that Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, will stay right here after his release, adding that his wife Bushra Bibi is also in Pakistan after her release from jail.

The PTI spokesperson said that by accusing Imran Khan of making a deal, the “fake government is only offering a stamp of proof of being fake.”

It is pertinent to mention here that missing PTI focal person Intizaar Panjotha was rescued by police in the early hours of Sunday in Attock, Punjab, as reported by law enforcement officials.
