ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa said on Wednesday the significant importance the court attaches to the letter penned by Islamabad High Court judges, highlighting its multi-faceted nature.

During the session addressing the Supreme Court’s suo motu notice on the letter from Islamabad High Court judges concerning alleged interference in judicial matters by intelligence agencies, Chief Justice Isa underscored that the letter specifically references the Supreme Judicial Council rather than directly addressing the Supreme Court.

The hearing, overseen by a seven-member bench led by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, includes Justices Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Yahya Afridi, Jamal Khan Mandokhel, Athar Minallah, Musarrat Hilali, and Naeem Akhtar Afghan.

The Supreme Court is broadcasting the proceedings of the hearing live.
