Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that he did not leave Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, at D-Chowk during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest on November 27.
He made those comments while talking to journalists in Dera Ismail Khan.
Bushra Bibi on Friday said that she was left alone at D-Chowk during the protest on November 26.
She said that she was in her car at D-Chowk until 12:30am, completely alone. She added that she didn’t leave the location because Imran Khan had instructed her to remain there.
Gandapur said that an operation was being carried out at D-Chowk, and he was with Bushra Bibi.
While talking about the events that took place in the wee hours of November 27, when PTI reached D-Chowk, he said that the police opened fire on the protesters. He added that the government has arrested thousands of PTI workers.
The party had called for protests at D-Chowk, which started on Sunday, November 24, and ended in the early hours of November 27 after a clearance operation by Rangers.
