The management of Top City, a private housing scheme, had levelled grave allegations against the former ISI chief, claiming that he had orchestrated a raid on the offices and residence of its owner.

In April, the military had reportedly formed an inquiry committee to investigate allegations of misuse of authority against the former spymaster.

It is pertinent to mention that there are allegations suggesting former Prime Minister Imran Khan intended to appoint Faiz Hameed as the army chief. However, Khan vehemently denies these claims, asserting that he never sought to install his own Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
