RAWALPINDI: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi on Monday sent former Prime Minister Imran Khan on judicial remand in a case registered at New Town Police Station.
The PTI founding Chairman was produced before the ATC judge Amjad Ali Shah at Adiala Jail after completing his physical remand in the new case registered at New Town Police Station.
This judicial remand also covers six additional cases against him related to protests on September 28 and October 25.
Khan had been arrested in the New Town Police Station case soon after being granted bail in the Toshakhana two case. The arrest had dimmed the brief glimmer of hope PTI had for Khan’s release.
Meanwhile, he has been arrested in 7 more cases September 28, October 5 and November 24 protest cases. The investigation teams are present in Adiala Jail.
The PTI founder and other accused are likely to be indicted in the GHQ attack case. The accused have been ordered to ensure their presence in Adiala Jail, the hearing of the one hundred and ninety million reference will also be held today.
During the hearing, the prosecution did not request physical remand in 7 new cases in which PTI founder has been arrested. He has also been sent to jail on judicial remand.
